For some reason my desktop box decided to stop sending to external

Still not getting thru. Emailed list owner to see if I''m being blocked.
Trying this now with Alpine which, I don''t think, uses exim4

When prompted for a domain name in the server configuration window I''ve
used cox.net at times and left it blank at others. When I leave it blank
the next time I call it up it shows localhost, which I assume is the
default. Neither works.
My /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf file is:
dc_eximconfig_configtype=''smarthost''
dc_other_hostnames=''''
dc_local_interfaces=''''
dc_readhost=''''
dc_relay_domains=''''
dc_minimaldns=''false''
dc_relay_nets=''''
dc_smarthost=''smtp.west.cox.net''
CFILEMODE=''644''
dc_use_split_config=''false''
dc_hide_mailname=''false''
dc_mailname_in_oh=''true''
dc_localdelivery=''mail_spool''
Other than the smarthost designation I see no reference to cox.net.
I''m not sure what the dc_mailname_in_oh=''true'' line
refers to.
Thanks for your time. I really appreciate being led thru this.
