I am interested to see how you write the router and where you locate it in the configuration. Regards, Rob -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
Hi Rob I will post the solution in due course - but the current configuration is actually more complex than I originally alluded to. At the moment, we''re on a trial with the new anti-spam service - for this domain only. All of the other domains are still protected by the old service. Having checked with the new provider - they would rather mail from the other domains was not routed via their servers for the duration of the trial. Having read chapter 20 of the document - as pointed to - I have a good idea how its going to be written - indeed, one of the examples appears to almost exactly fit the bill. But these are routers that care about what domains they route mail to - and they don''t give a wet slap about what the From: address is, and really, there''s no logical reason why they should care. So, I''m holding off writing the router until the trial ends (in about 12 days) and my management make a decision as to whether we''re going with the new service for all domains - or staying with the old one. Whatever decision is taken, I''ll have a router to write thereafter - so I''ll post the solution then. Hope you don''t mind the wait. Regards Neil

I do not see any possible issues with that. Anyway, this is not an exim issue. [Pkg-exim4-users] how to set up exim4 to use my FQDN?
It reads like you have not set the host name correctly. They want the full host name with the domain. If I am right then the "visiblename" is what you need to edit. I have this in my conf. MAIN_visiblename = smtp.yourdomain.info Good luck, Dp.
