What versions of are the ssh client and server? Which direction is the forward (ie -L or -R). What platforms are the NFS client and server? A simple port forward test here with the current versions of the client and server and -L with chargen did not show a 4G limit so whatever it is is probably not something obvious. -- Darren Tucker (dtucker at zip.com.au) GPG key 8FF4FA69 / D9A3 86E9 7EEE AF4B B2D4 37C9 C982 80C7 8FF4 FA69 Good judgement comes with experience.
