Hi, Does lucreate not work in a Dom0? I could not create a new BE with lucreate in a Solaris snv85 Dom0 (I did install the lu packages from snv87 before starting lucreate and this was the first time I used lucreate on that machine): bash-3.2# lucreate -n "sol10snv87" -A "solaris 10 snv87" -m /:/dev/dsk/c1d0s4:ufs -l test.log Discovering physical storage devices Discovering logical storage devices Cross referencing storage devices with boot environment configurations Determining types of file systems supported Validating file system requests Preparing logical storage devices Preparing physical storage devices Configuring physical storage devices Configuring logical storage devices ERROR: The system must be rebooted after applying required patches. Please reboot and try again. bash-3.2# cat test.log new request cannot find provider for service=<getLogicalDeviceList> After booting without xVM the lucreate command worked. regards Bernd -- Bernd Schemmer, Frankfurt am Main, Germany http://home.arcor.de/bnsmb/index.html M s temprano que tarde el mundo cambiar . Anyway, as I said, I think it should be fixed in a more recent build when that becomes available. See: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6655040 regards john
