Hi,
Does lucreate not work in a Dom0?
I could not create a new BE with lucreate in a Solaris snv85 Dom0 (I did
install the lu packages from snv87 before starting lucreate and this was
the first time I used lucreate on that machine):
bash-3.2# lucreate -n "sol10snv87" -A "solaris 10 snv87" -m
/:/dev/dsk/c1d0s4:ufs -l test.log

ERROR: The system must be rebooted after applying required patches.
Please reboot and try again.
bash-3.2# cat test.log
new request cannot find provider for service=<getLogicalDeviceList>
After booting without xVM the lucreate command worked.

Anyway, as I said, I think it should be fixed in a more recent build when that becomes available. See: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6655040 regards john
