xen discuss - Mar 2008 - How to convert WinXP HVM domU to use paravirt driver

I started out creating a WinXP HVM domU on SXCE build 81 and then I
did a Live Upgrade to SXCE build 83a.  So, now I''m trying to figure
out how to get XP to use the new paravirt network driver as opposed to
the Realtek driver.  I tried deleting the network driver inside the XP
system control panel and rebooting XP, but it simply reinstalled the
Realtek driver.

Or are the new paravirt HVM drivers only to be used with Solaris HVM
domU''s and not XP?

Hi Eric,

Which PV drivers are you talking about? We are still developing our XP drivers 
and haven''t released them yet. The PV HVM drivers new in builds 81+ are
for
Solaris guests only.

Russ,

I read about PSARC/2007/664 in build 81, but for some reason I thought
it was applicable to XP also.  I''ll just be patient then for the XP
drivers and in the meantime will try out a Solaris guest with the new
drivers.  Thanks for the quick reply.
