It''d be nice if it were legal to mirror it yourself. I could get you a copy if it were. James
Every my attempt to proceed with download (500 kb/sec) gets locked by Sun Site for unpredictable period of time after next extent about 5%-10% appears to be done.Previous ISP allowed me only 30kb/sec and i always was able to burn DVD after 30-40 hr of download. I guess now i have to ask current ISP to shrink download speed, either quit this job and switch to Linux mirrors , which never caused to me such kind of problems. Thank you. Now I''m on cable, and it does go out sometimes, but downloading 3gb every two weeks doesn''t bother them, nor does it make me "fap" (Fair Access Policy) violation. I haven''t had the issue with either connection downloading OpenSolaris ISO''s. Right now I''m pulling 344kb/s (Of a 365kb/s capacity, 3mbit) off Sun''s mirror. (sol-nv-b83a-x86-dvd-iso-a.zip from http://cds.sun.com/) Curious, what isp are you complaining about? Sun? How would being Linux affect anything, it''s more of an issue with load balancing than the OS, surely you know that. James
I am complaining Sun Downloading system.Instead of decreasing the speed of connection to appropriate value for Sun, it just turned it down to 0, having me to relogin and restart from from the point of freeze. Same day I downloaded F9 Alpha (4 GB) in 2 hr with 700kb/sec with no issues. I am saying , that I can get any Linux Distro from corresponding mirror painlessly and quickly This message posted from opensolaris.org

That sucks. I was able to get part 1 of 2 of B83b in 1hr 30m, which is pretty fast for 3mbit cable. Looks more like an isp interoperability problem (Bad routing perhaps, or a monkey in the middle hitting the reset button) James
Download Nevada build 83a. First extent :- SDM restarted just once average speed between 300 and 400 kb/sec Second extent :- SDM restarted 4-5 times average speed between 300 and 400 kb/sec Overall download time is excellent, but requires contiguous tracking points of freeze.
