I''ve heard that it is possible to build and run a solaris guest on a
linux (Centos 4.x) Dom0 on a x86_32 platform. I was hoping to get more
information about how to do this.
I found the following url,
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/howto/build-osox, and it talks about
doing exactly what i want to do but right off the bat i''m having a
problem and i think it''s because maybe i skipped some steps.
On the CentOS host i created /home/sun, changed into that dir and then
downloaded the osox-src-12-02-2006.tar.gz and unextracted it. I then proceeded
to ./usr/src/cmd/sgs/packages and tryed to run make packages but i received this
error...
[root at localhost packages]# make package
Makefile:30: /Makefile.master: No such file or directory
Makefile:31: /cmd/sgs/Makefile.var: No such file or directory
Makefile:138: *** missing separator. Stop.
[root at localhost packages]#
Any help as to where i''m going wrong would be appriciated, i have very
little experience with solaris so please excuse my ignorance if i missed
somthing important :)
