hi,
i am new to ocfs2 but i got it to work pretty good.
only ocfs2cdsl does not really work on my system.
# uname -a
Linux webhost2 2.6.18-028stab039 #2 SMP Thu Aug 2 12:00:17 UTC 2007 i686
GNU/Linux
# ocfs2cdsl -V
ocfs2cdsl 1.2.1
# mount
[...]
ocfs2_dlmfs on /dlm type ocfs2_dlmfs (rw)
/dev/drbd0 on /cluster/r0 type ocfs2 (rw,_netdev,heartbeat=local)
# cd /cluster/r0/test
# ocfs2cdsl -v me
mkdir -p '/cluster/r0/.cluster/hostname/webhost2/test'
ln -s '../.cluster/hostname/{hostname}/test/me'
'/cluster/r0/test/me'
# ls -la ../.cluster/hostname/webhost2/test/
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2007-08-15 18:20 .
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 2007-08-15 18:20 ..
so there was no file created
ok try to create it on our own
#echo 'webhost2' > ../.cluster/hostname/webhost/test/me
# cat me
cat: me: No such file or directory
still the symlink can not be resolved. it seems that {hostname} is not
interpreted.
i also tried it with -t option for os, mach, and nodenum. os and mach are
absolutely similar to hostname, with nodenum there is even another problem:
# ocfs2cdsl -v -t nodenum me2
ocfs2cdsl: No such file or directory could not open /proc/fs/ocfs2/147_0/nodenum
and indeed /proc/fs has no directory ocfs2.
can anybody please help me to get this to work?
thanks,
- rainer
