Usually a message is printed when this happens indicating precisely which blocks are in question. Can you please post any messages you get in the system logs when this happens? Also, can you run: fsck.ocfs2 -fn <device> against your file system and post the output here. Thanks, --Mark -- Mark Fasheh Senior Software Developer, Oracle mark.fasheh@oracle.com

[Ocfs2-users] OCFS file system change to READ-ONLY file system
Is it possible, that they foret to extend OCFS FS to 10 nodes? As I remember, default setting have smaller # of nodes (in disk slots)? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Fasheh" <mark.fasheh@oracle.com> To: "dba1 mcc" <mccdba1@yahoo.com> Cc: <ocfs2-users@oss.oracle.com> Sent: Friday, August 17, 2007 10:46 AM Subject: Re: [Ocfs2-users] OCFS file system change to READ-ONLY file system> On Tue, Aug 14, 2007 at 08:10:36AM -0700, dba1 mcc wrote: >> Does there has way to avoid OCFS file system change to >> READ-ONLY? > > The file system is flipped to read only when the kernel module encounters > some disk meta data which it believe might be corrupt.
