I've been a NUT user for a while, on Linux, and I've been very pleased
with the performance of it. I have a new machine here, that runs
NetBSD, and I've been having fits with that.
First, NetBSD has NUT 2.0.5 in the pkgsrc collection, and I don't
really want to mess with that, since it's so far out of date. So, I
built NUT 2.4.1, from source. All is well there, but I can't get NUT
to detect my UPS. I get the following USB devices detected, when I
plug in the UPS:
uhidev3 at uhub3 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0
uhidev3: Belkin Belkin UPS, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 2, iclass 3/0

So, no idea which is the most appropriate, but I picked /dev/uhid1,
first, and then tried /dev/uhid3, so that I could use a "feature=2"
device. Neither work:
ajacocks at daphne$ sudo /usr/local/ups/bin/upsdrvctl -u nut start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.4.1
Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.34 (2.4.1)
USB communication driver 0.31
No matching HID UPS found
Driver failed to start (exit status=1)
[/usr/local/ups/etc]
ajacocks at daphne$ cat ups.conf
[BelkinUSB]
driver = usbhid-ups
port = /dev/uhid1
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks!
