I don't know. You should write to the mailing list, not to me personally. I am not the only person on the list who answers questions. -- Peter Michael Plourde wrote:> > By the way i'm using 940-0024C serial cable. > > I had try generic driver and it works but i can send command with this > driver. > > Could this error: > smartmode: ser_send_char failed: Resource temporarily unavailable > Unable to detect an APC Smart protocol UPS on port /dev/ttyS0 > Check the cabling, port name or model name and try again > Driver failed to start (exit status=1) > > been due to cable failed ? > > Michael Plourde > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Peter Selinger" <selinger@mathstat.dal.ca> > To: "Michael Plourde" <mplourde@digicom.ca> > Cc: "NUT-MList" <nut-upsdev@lists.alioth.debian.org> > Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 10:36 AM > Subject: Re: [Nut-upsdev] Backups 300VA (BK-300C) Drivers > > > > Serial or USB? -- Peter > > > > Michael Plourde wrote: > > > > > > Hi, > > > What driver should i use with APC BK-300C ? > > > > > > Michale Plourde > > > Digicom Technologies > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > > Nut-upsdev mailing list > > > Nut-upsdev@lists.alioth.debian.org > > > http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-upsdev > > > > > > > >
By the way i'm using 940-0024C serial cable. I had try generic driver and it works but i can send command with this driver. When i try apcsmart driver i got this error: smartmode: ser_send_char failed: Resource temporarily unavailable Unable to detect an APC Smart protocol UPS on port /dev/ttyS0 Check the cabling, port name or model name and try again Driver failed to start (exit status=1) Could this been due to cable failed ?
