[Bug 76] Bitmask problems in include/netfilter_ipv4/lockhelp.h
https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=76 laforge@netfilter.org changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID ------- Additional Comments From mort@wildopensource.com 2003-04-09 01:35 ------- Created an attachment (id=18) Suggested fix for the bug. Changing 1 into 1UL. ------- Additional Comments From laforge@netfilter.org 2003-04-14 09:48 ------- Am I somehow mistaken, but since when does the Linux kernel support more than 32 CPU's ? I always thought that was the hard limit. Even a 2.5.x kernel lets you only select up to 32 cpu's. Please reopen this bug if I'm mistaken. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=76 mort@wildopensource.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|INVALID | ------- Additional Comments From mort@wildopensource.com 2003-04-14 14:07 ------- I can confirm that there are more than a few people running Linux on >32 processor SMP and NUMA machines. On 64-bit machines the bit masking on a long works for up to 64 processors. This does fix a valid bug, it's just not a bug on 32-bit platforms. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
