Am I somehow mistaken, but since when does the Linux kernel support more than 32
CPU's ? I always thought that was the hard limit.
Even a 2.5.x kernel lets you only select up to 32 cpu's.
Please reopen this bug if I'm mistaken.

I can confirm that there are more than a few people running Linux on >32
processor SMP and NUMA machines. On 64-bit machines the bit masking on a long
works for up to 64 processors. This does fix a valid bug, it's just not a
bug
on 32-bit platforms.
