Hi, I am trying to set up a cluster with 1 MDS and 2 OST on 3 different nodes (64 bit Opteron with SUSE 10.0, kernel 2.6.12.6 patched with lustre). Everything works fine till mounting of client on another node say the 4th one. I am able to see mount with ''df''. When I go into the mount directory and do a ''ls'' in it or try to copy a file into it. The MDS node crashes and whole thing goes down. Also, if i try to create 1 MDS, 2 OST and a client on single node it still crashes. I have another Linux Computer with SUSE 10.0 kernel 2.6.12.6 patched with lustre having 32 bit Pentium 4, it works fine. I am easily able to create files and able to stripe it over 2 OST. Can anybody comment on what I am missing above to avoid the crash. If any additional information is required please let me know. -- Suneet Chandok Research Assistant Parallel Software Technologies Laboratory Department of Computer Science University of Houston Cell: 704-248-0718 Email: schandok@cs.uh.edu -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
