You can use llobdstat.pl to decode the obdfilter "stats" /proc entry
per OST.

llobdstat.pl /proc/fs/lustre/obdfilter/OST{whatever}/stats 1

it will give you stats for that OST each second.  For example:

R      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s W      0 (    0 138.52Mb)/s
R      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s W      0 (    0 112.30Mb)/s
R      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s W      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s st:4
R      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s W      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s
R      0 (    0   0.02Mb)/s W      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s
R      0 (    0 118.80Mb)/s W      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s
R      0 (    0 101.94Mb)/s W      0 (    0   0.00Mb)/s

shows first writes, 4 statfs RPCs, then reads.



You can also use "llstat.pl" to decode the "stats" entry for
all targets:

llstat.pl /proc/fs/lustre/mdt/MDT/mds/stats 1
