I use chrony to keep my system's clock accurate.  Chrony itself will e-mail
me if it has to make an adjustment that's too large, so I don't need
logcheck to show me the messages too.  Here's an example:

localhost chronyd: Selected source 194.95.224.98
localhost chronyd: System clock wrong by -5.489251 seconds, adjustment started

looked up chronyd in popcon, not sure we should ship that by default
in logcheck-database, thus reassigning to chronyd:
so that the package maintainer can add appropriate rules.
he might want to read 
/usr/share/doc/logcheck-database/README.logcheck-database.gz
for hints on maintaining logcheck rules. :)
