llvm dev - Nov 2012 - [LLVMdev] Metadata on Machine Instructions?

Hi List,

I noticed that it appears possible to attach metadata to a machine instruction,
which looks like it would be useful for a use case that I have, however when
attempting to actually do this I hit an assertion because it appears to attach
the metadata as an operand, and the instruction doesn't have any operand
space for this.  Does anyone use this facility?
