[libvirt-users] raw disks used by guest unavailable to host - retrieve them?
hi everybody my guests had drives passed though, like here: <disk type='block' device='lun'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='none'/> <source dev='/dev/sdv'/> <target dev='sda' bus='scsi'/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='0'/> guests were Windows 8/2012, now after de-defining guests those disks are still unavailable to host's lvm, pvscan doesn't see. Is there a way to fix it? bw. P

my bad, cancel this please I did use virt-format, not sure if it did help. Forgotten that pvcreate won't take gpt disk as a whole. cheers On 10/04/15 12:49, lejeczek wrote:> hi everybody > > my guests had drives passed though, like here: > > <disk type='block' device='lun'> > <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='none'/> > <source dev='/dev/sdv'/> > <target dev='sda' bus='scsi'/> > <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' > unit='0'/> > > guests were Windows 8/2012, now after de-defining guests > those disks are still unavailable to host's lvm, pvscan > doesn't see. > Is there a way to fix it? > > bw. > P > > _______________________________________________ > libvirt-users mailing list > libvirt-users@redhat.com > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/libvirt-users >
