I wasn't happy about commenting out the packages in the "shared" list at the end of appliance/packagelist.in. (Note that supermin is *supposed* to ignore packages it doesn't know about -- although whether that works or not does tend to depend on whether the supermin plugin is correct). Therefore I pushed a slightly modified version of the patch, but it hasn't been tested: https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/2f85affefbd505a7582e8188d4483108b3aa10e6 Of course if this doesn't work, then we can fix it up with future patches.
