Icecast - Feb 2005 - liveice with icecast2 Error on starting liveice

I have icecast running on linux server and am trying to
get liveice to stream a play list.

When I start liveice it tells me all the mp3 files listed
in the list are bad.

THese mp3 files work with windows media plyaer.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?
