I've been lurking on the list for about a week, and want to start with this question. I've downloaded the latest Icecast file, do I also need IceS 0.2.3 source as well? What is the difference between the two files? thanks -Chris <p><p>====***************************************** GAIM ID: cmmiller1973 ***************************************** __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi Thanks for the new ices version I can happily report that it complies and runs with no major problems on mac osx 10.1.4. previous to this installation, I installed libshout and lame and configed /configure --with-lame --with-lame-includes=/usr/local/include/lame --with-lame-libraries=/usr/local/lib --with-perl --without-python XML support came in a port from fink I have attached my term out for those interested. I chose not to use Python as I have a few system conflicts, I have tested using builtin and perl, they both work. A small pointer to beginners here, took me a while to get the playlist to load. I had to use full path to my playlist.txt in the ices.conf. for some reason ices refused to read the file without path, although it was in my playlist.txt was in the /etc folder as suggest in the FAQ doc. great work thanks Peter Mears <File attached: term-out.txt> <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
