This is a long shot, but the "inode not found" message makes me wonder
whether your client is 32-bit while your server is 64-bit. If the client
is using 32-bit inode numbers but the server is using 64-bit inode numbers,
you could have something like this happen, I think.
If your client is 32-bit but the GlusterFS server is 64-bit, could you
confirm that the volume is mounted with the enable-ino32 option?
