Gluster users - Sep 2013 - _netdev option.

Hi,

Why do we mention the _netdev option while automatically mounting the glusterFS
volume on the client. ?? I don't know if this has any connection with the
below described problem:

Files get randomly distributed on a simple replica volume. ? But after umounting
the volume and re-mounting it using the _netdev option, it seems to work and
replication works. I cannot confirm whether this is the problem. Please advise.

It's supposed to make the gluster mount wait until networking is started
before trying to mount it. As far as I'm aware it doesn't work. I've
still not found a sane, reliable solution to make gluster mount on boot - at the
moment I have an rc.local script that waits for a while before mounting, but it
only works about 50% of the time.

No idea if that has any bearing on your issue.
