Gluster users - Aug 2013 - Object storage GlusterFS 3.4 Ubuntu

Hi there,
has anyone managed to install Object Storage on later Ubuntu versions and
if so, can you point me to the documentation?
I'd also like to have some clarification on the term "object
storage" in
the GlusterFs domain. Is it called Swift, UFO or something else?

It was originally called Unified File and Object or UFO.

For a while the plan was to rename it to Gluster for Swift or G4S.

Now the intent is to have an umbrella project called Gluster for 
OpenStack or G4O, of which the Swift part ? G4S ? will be one component.

They're all the same thing.
