Hello, We are planning to use Gluster 3.3 and NFS with Geo-replication. We wonder what would be the best FS : ext3, ext4 or xfs? We are going to build a storage for mailboxes files. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Regards, -- Mitsue Acosta Murakami

I also think that the recommendation is to format the xfs partition with an increased inode size of 512 bytes. Hi Mitsue, I have a report from a colleague that his company was using Gluster for storing mailboxes and they end up with many issues. I think it was something related to number of small files which is known to not perform well. Needless to say for you to test the performance, specially the write performance, before putting into production.
