Unfortunately that document isn't completely clear, we are removing it from
the site until it can be clarified.
Gluster File System supports REST via any service that can access a POSIX
filesystem for its data store, ActiveMQ is a popular example.
Here is a link to the Gluster 3.1 FS download -

Subject: [Gluster-users] Gluster s3 compatible storage service
Dear All:
I read the gluster whitepaper from
http://www.gluster.com/files/wp-gluster-vm-environments.pdf and saw gluster
has the Amazon's S3 compatible storage service at page 6. But I can'
find
any related information and document for this in gluster.com and gluster.org
.
The following is the related statements in the whitepaper:
4. HTTP GET/PUT: GlusterFS provides a distributed object storage mechanism
compatible to Amazon?s S3 cloud storage service. It?s ideal for scalable Web
or cloud-based applications. It offers a well-documented RESTful API, with
bindings for popular programming languages. This interface is so simple that
it can even be accessed from your JavaScript code inside your browser
client.
Does anyone know where can find the related resource on this (e.g.
installation package, documents,...etc.)?
Thanks.
Best Regards,
skyo
