Gluster users - Oct 2010 - Encryption?

Does GlusterFS have any form of encryption with it?   If not, will it soon 
be available?

Can you just use encrypted block devices to build your Gluster volumes?

   We haven't tried this yet, but you might be able to use Stunnel for 
this (for over-the-wire encryption).  Would require using the tcp stack 
though.  Our customers haven't asked for it yet, so we haven't given it 
any attention.  I don't know if AB and team are thinking of it.

Encryption is on the long term road map, it is the type of feature that can be
implemented as a translator. One of our engineers wrote a rot-13 translator as
an example of the technology (NOT FOR PRODUCTION USE).
