The application is based on the LAMP development stack using FreeBSD, Apache, MySQL, and Perl. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated software engineer that wants to work on new application development using rapid development techniques and state-of-the art development tools, including a powerful API and code generator that can increase productivity by a factor of 20 times or more. We are initially looking for a contract relationship (1099), however this could progress into a salary position with full benefits for an individual that is able to demonstrate strong application development and analytical skills. We will also consider part-time developers and college interns for this current phase of the project. NSR is a small start-up that has secured its first round of venture funding. We are open to some telecommuting, however much of your initial work would need to be done onsite in order to learn the application, and to coordinate with the team on specific design issues. The company atmosphere is casual and friendly. Required skills: Solid Perl development skills, MySQL, and HTML are required. We are looking for developers that motivated, innovative, and love to write great software. Desired skills: Apache, Mod-Perl, CSS, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, Jasper Reports, FreeBSD Administration, MySQL Replication and NDB Clustering, Cisco IOS, Photoshop, and Google Maps are all useful skills, but not required. Onsite Requirements: The first two of three weeks will need to be performed onsite in order to gain familiarity with the application. Once developers are up to speed, they can telecommute for much of the project.
