dovecot - Sep 2010 - Execution of external commands from Pigeonhole sieve

Does anybody knows if there are some method to call an externall command
from sieve? Is xexec plugin is what i am looking for? Is it avaiable for
Dovecot 1.2?

I want to call ripmime from sieve to save attchments from mails in a
user account.

It wouldn't be too difficult to write a plugin that triggers some
external command calling when e.g. saving a message to some mailbox or
something..

But this is much more difficult. Just do it before deliver is run.
