CentOS - Jul 2018 - Panic with EL7 KVM guest on EL6 host on AMD server with latest kernel

I had to set my CPU type to opteron_g3 instead of opteron_g5 for some
machines on an AMD server.

Looks like your scenario was really quite different.

BTW, I've just tested with kernel-3.10.0-862.9.1.el7.x86_64 on the CentOS
7 guest and it still crashes the same way.
