Last week, I installed CentOS 6 yet again. I took the default desktop: gnome. Whenever I open a directory, I get a new window. That gets rather annoying, especially when I have to drill down several levels. Is there around that behaviour? If it's in edit->preferences, I didn't find it. Eventually I expect to change desktops. Until then, any ideas? -- Michael hennebry at web.cs.ndsu.NoDak.edu "On Monday, I'm gonna have to tell my kindergarten class, whom I teach not to run with scissors, that my fiance ran me through with a broadsword." -- Lily

Check the checkbox for "open in browser windows" -- ---- Fred Smith -- fredex at fcshome.stoneham.ma.us ----------------------------- But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ------------------------------- Romans 5:8 (niv) ------------------------------
Its rather simple. There is an option to choose open all new folders in a browser window. That will do the trick. -----Original Message----- From: "Michael Hennebry" <hennebry at web.cs.ndsu.nodak.edu> Sent: ?17-?11-?2013 20:56 To: "CentOS mailing list" <centos at centos.org> Subject: [CentOS] file managementttttttttttt Last week, I installed CentOS 6 yet again. Or open the first directory by right clicking and sekecting Browse Folder to begin with. -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B.
