To install Oracle Database 10g, I need to increase the swap memory to 1004 MB. Based on the amount of physical memory available on the system, Oracle Database 10g Express Edition requires 1004 MB of swap space. This system has 504 MB of swap space. Configure more swap space on the system and retry the installation. error: %pre(oracle-xe-univ-10.2.0.1-1.0.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1 error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping oracle-xe-univ-10.2.0.1-1.0 Below is my system information. Do you have any disk space to add swap? Thanks!Assuming you've got the free disk space: # dd if=/dev/zero of=swapfile bs=1024 count=512K # mkswap swapfile # swapon swapfile (replace "swapfile" above with an appropriate path for your system). Eventually you should make a permanent swap out of a real disk partition, perhaps by adding a drive to the machine.
