Is there a method of searching the archives? Please direct me to the
instructions.

at google.com use this in the search bar:

site:lists.centos.org term1 term2

(replace term1 and term2 with your search terms)

ALSO .. you can go to:

http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos

(there is a search box in the top header)
