CentOS - Apr 2005 - Apache and TCP Wrappers

I'm trying to lock down Apache and SSH by using TCP Wrappers.

I put /etc/hosts.allow to be
httpd: IP#1 IP#2 127.0.0.1
sshd: IP#1 IP#2 127.0.0.1

and hosts.deny
ALL: ALL


This seems to work great for ssh, and not at all for httpd. Does anyone
know why this would be?

Apache has its own independent mechanism for that.

Agreed, if u wish to lock apache on IP range basis, mod_access works coool,
