[Backgroundrb-devel] Problem with scheduled task mysteriously stopping
Hi there, I have a scheduled task which I started from Rails, set to run every 5 minutes, it takes probably about 20-30 seconds to execute (it''s aggregating some feeds). It ran for about 5 hours and then mysteriously stopped -- the logs show no errors. This kind of sucks because it''s like a silent failure, has anyone else had this problem? --simon -- http://simonwoodside.com

>From what I''ve read in the threads, yes.I''m only aware of one place that eats up exceptions. http://rubyforge.org/pipermail/backgroundrb-devel/2007-April/000875.html Other than that, you might have to comb through and look for other places that are eating exceptions. Good luck. Hope this helps. Wilhelm -- http://www.3cglabs.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Backgroundrb-devel] Problem with scheduled task mysteriously stopping
Well, I restarted mine and it''s been running fine for a week or so. It would be very nice if errors & exceptions were automatically logged without having to do extra work. --simon -- http://simonwoodside.com On Jul 11, 2007, at 11:43 AM, Wil Chung wrote:> >From what I''ve read in the threads, yes. > > I''m only aware of one place that eats up exceptions. > http://rubyforge.org/pipermail/backgroundrb-devel/2007-April/ > 000875.html > > Other than that, you might have to comb through and look for other > places that are eating exceptions. > > Good luck.
