Are there any adapters that would allow me to connect asterisk to wifi or we are not there yet? I have Digium adapter S101i that was discontinued but similar device that would connect to wifi network and a cell phone would be handy. -- Joseph

Such as any of these on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/b?node=13983791 Asterisk doesn't care whether it is wired or wireless, it is just talking via IP over your network interface. The s101i was an IAX to Analog adapter that also communicated with Asterisk over IP. Connecting a cell phone directly to Asterisk is a whole different story. Do you mean an actual cellular device such as a GSM cell phone? Or do you mean a phone that connects to a 802.11 Wi-Fi signal? -- Rusty Newton Digium, Inc. | Community Support Manager 445 Jan Davis Drive NW - Huntsville, AL 35806 - US direct: +1 256 428 6200 Check us out at: http://digium.com & http://asterisk.org

Hello All What is the standard practice to adjust the volume on a channel? I am using App Konference where they have a talk volume and listen volume. No matter what I try, it's not making a difference. By the way, I know that the phone comes with a volume control. I am interested in the software control. If you are wondering what I am trying to do: I am trying to use ast_write and ast_read to write and read frames. Interestingly, when a null frame is written, the talk volume is sufficient to hear. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
