asterisk users - Sep 2011 - Asterisk RPM repo?

I am reinstalling a server and wanted to give the asterisk rpm's a try.

It seems however that the repo on asterisk.org doesn't know anything more 
recent than RHEL / CentOS 5.

Is there a more recent repo?

Will asterisk work with selinux?

More information about the problem would be helpful (EG: console
