Hi Dhaval, Echo depends of the far end not directly Asterisk or Digium cards. If the remote telephone or PBX return your your voice, you will ear your echo. If the remote don't return you your audio signal, no echo. The passedthrough circuit along the complete path can also return you echo but the main issues are the remote terminal itself in many cases. If you don't use any echocan method or circuit, you will be happy except during few calls, always the same remote numbers. If you use a good echocan as Octasic circuits offered by Digium for their 2 or 4 E1 spans, you will be more than happy : no more echo, and a very good "hot and human" voices sound, like the old wide band analog lines, without "synthetic digital color artefacts" ! So, in any case, you will be able to place and receive calls. It's only for your operators comfort (it's realy crazy and difficult to speach when you ear yourself with echo at important level). I hope this help you. Best Regards, Francois Analyse effectu?e par AVG - www.avg.fr Version: 8.5.375 / Base de donn?es virale: 270.13.67/2326 - Date: 08/26/09 12:16:00
hallo Dhaval, to save money, you can use oslec as software EC in dahdi, then you dont need hardware echo cancellation. AFAIK oslec now in dahdi trunk and in the linux kernel. if you have problems with oslec, you can try the oslec mailing list: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freetel-oslec Kristijan Vrban 2009/8/27 DHAVAL INDRODIYA <dhaval.it01034 at gmail.com>> hi all, > > any one know, about echo cancellation with digium card, > > is it actually needed or it okay if we dont purchase because it increase > price which half of new card, > > regards > Dhaval > > _______________________________________________ > -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- > > AstriCon 2009 - October 13 - 15 Phoenix, Arizona > Register Now: http://www.astricon.net > > asterisk-users mailing list > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
