Hi, Previously i was using asterisk 1.4 with freepbx installation. To try the 1.6 version i installd anc configured everything.. Just one thing didnt work so far.. I am using grandstream 2000 and it has a line busy indicator for chef secretary phones. But now, this feature does not work. I can see the line is online..with a green steady light.. But when the line is busy or DND, it wont change to red light as in previous 1.4 installation.. Do i miss smthing??
Probably same thing I did. In the GXP2000 BLF setup, set the "account" field to the Line that relates to the extension you are trying to monitor. You can't monitor "just any old hint" it has to be related to a number that is in the same context as a number on the phone and the BLF entry pointed to that line. And set the setup entry to "BLF" It will still speed dial. Never yet seen green follow the sip registration of that device like I would expect. not sure if my message light works or not - don't get enough messages to notice, for voicemail itself I had to put *98<ext> to get the msg button to do the expected anyone else with similar experiences or info to share ?> > _______________________________________________ > -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- > > asterisk-users mailing list > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > >
Oguzhan Kayhan wrote: actually further to my last email another related question : when programming the side buttons what are people using - ring groups or individual extensions, other ? I have setup sip devices with one series of extension numbers (ie every line button on the phone, softclients, etc) I have another set of sip devices that have voicemail but no real physical device attached ever, and they use follow me to ring the actual desired devices and roll into the voicemail on no answer. which would make more sense to make the side button call the physical device or the followme number ? neither case really seems to operate the blf lights correctly.> Hi, > Previously i was using asterisk 1.4 with freepbx installation. > To try the 1.6 version i installd anc configured everything.. > Just one thing didnt work so far.. > I am using grandstream 2000 and it has a line busy indicator for chef > secretary phones. > But now, this feature does not work. > I can see the line is online..with a green steady light.. > But > when the line is busy or DND, it wont change to red light as in previous > 1.4 installation.. > Do i miss smthing?? > > > > _______________________________________________ > -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- > > asterisk-users mailing list > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > >
