Hello all I would like to know if anyone here has had any experience trying to set up SIP or IAX over VPN. I am testing with Cisco VPN client and when I call the Asterisk server in my office I get one way audio. Thanks Ed Nunez -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... An interesting definition of "non-commercial discussion" you have going there...
This definitely belongs on the biz list. This hasn't been a good day for you, has it? I'm guessing I'm not the only one on the list that has added astawerks to my "banned sellers" list. -erik
Like mentioned earlier, check the ports. Check latency and name resolution from both ends. There are many kinds of VPNs out there. Some VPNs are essentially one way. Depending on your system, you may have to establish a VPN session from the server back to the client. Post to the wrong list through ignorance or mistake. Sometimes it just takes someone to explain things and there is no more problem. Astawerks has some good prices on good products. I have never ordered from them but I certainly will not ban them based on this one incident. Of course, if abuse continues, that might change.
