[asterisk-users] 1 phone 2 voicemail accounts
What is the best way to have 1 phone check multiple voicemail accounts. I am using polycom 650 phones, and am wondering if mwi can work when checking multiple accounts. -Chris Sent from my BlackBerry? wireless handheld

Hi Chris, We have a customer who we set this up for on Polycom 501's. We set the first two lines buttons to be their own extension, and the last one to be the general delivery mailbox. If either account has a message, the MWI lights up. For transparency, you can have all the buttons say the same thing (ie. Ext. 223) so everything looks the same. Hi all, I have a similar issue. I am looking for a way to make 1 phone to subscribe to 2 voicemail accounts on 2 different Asterisk machines on the same LAN linked over IAX2. Management requested that User1 on Asterisk1 should be able to forward a voicemail message to User2 on Asterisk2. All of our users are using GXP2000 SIP phones and the Asterisk servers communicate over IAX2. I will appreciate any help. Thank you and warm regards, Buki On 1/18/07, asterisk-users-request@lists.digium.com < asterisk-users-request@lists.digium.com> wrote:> > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: Philipp Kempgen <philipp.kempgen@amooma.de> > To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion < > asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> > Date: Thu, 18 Jan 2007 15:36:47 +0100 > Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] 1 phone 2 voicemail accounts > cbullock@columbiacomputers.com wrote: > > > What is the best way to have 1 phone check multiple voicemail accounts. > I am using polycom 650 phones, and am wondering if mwi can work when > checking multiple accounts. > > Try > mailbox=1234@default,1233@default ; Subscribe to status of multiple > mailboxes > in sip.conf > > Best regards, > Philipp > > -- > amooma GmbH - Bachstr. 126 - 56566 Neuwied - http://www.amooma.de > Let's use IT to solve problems and not to create new ones. > Asterisk -> http://www.das-asterisk-buch.de >-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... You cannot forward voicemails between Asterisk servers. Naija Man wrote:> Hi all, > > I have a similar issue. A little php and SCP would make this work. You could do a web interface like vmail.cgi. -----Original Message----- From: Eric "ManxPower" Wieling [mailto:eric@fnords.org] Sent: Friday, January 19, 2007 9:12 AM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] 1 phone 2 voicemail accounts You cannot forward voicemails between Asterisk servers.
