I guess that you are playing back a soundfile which isn't an
exact multiple of 20ms. At some point in the 1.2 evolution chan_iax
started
sending out short packets at the end of such files.
Some (older) Iax's don't like short packets and dump them.
You can fix it by padding the end of any files to a whole number of 20ms
or using a fixed length codec - like gsm.
