asterisk users - Aug 2006 - Double dial dtmf sounds

Hi,

  I have site using only softphones (SJPhone under Windows). Once in a 
while the users complain that they hear double and triple dial dtmf when 
they dial out.

  What could be causing that on the asterisk side?
