Does anyone know if there is a way of making the headset louder on the polycom 500's? The handset volume works fine but I just find the headset a little low even on the highest setting. Are you using an amplified headset or direct connect? It sounds like you need to look into the amplified headsets out there. Dean, Which headset are you using? It may be an amplification issue from the headset side. Does this happen with only one phone with this headset or all phones? I know Polycom normally works pretty well with Plantronics headsets, Polaris to be specific since the amplification is built in on these headsets. There are two settings voice.gain.rx.digital.headset and voice.gain.rx.analog.headset. I can't remember which one you need to change. -Evan
In my 1.6.6 software those options are only available in sip.cfg...can I copy that to the specific phone config file for per phone changes?
