Matt, we have experienced the echo issues from time to time. But here's
what's unusual, we have 10 BT102 phones, connected to SER+Asterisk
combo. Asterisk handles the calls from the BT102 phones to the Voipjet
provider, as all the phones are on a local network, and we wanted SER to
handle local-to-local calls.
In our Asterisk setup, we configured voice calls recording, via the
monitor dialplan command. The echo problem happens in the middle of the
call, mostly, and not at the start. And when we listen to the recordings
afterwards, we can not hear the echo, as we hear it when the call was made.
So i'm not sure if this is a Voipjet issue, or is with the phones, or is
with the lan setup not properly optimized, or with our internet
connection (ADSL - Philippines, with average 170ms latency to VoipJet).
Perhaps, the people on this list can help.
By the way, we are using Asterisk v1.0.8 and SER v.0.8.14.
Thanks!
Mark
