asterisk users - Feb 2005 - No such host when trying to register

As I got to compile 1.0.6 and got it to run but having the same problem 
as before I thought
of creating a new mail thread about this instead of continuing with one 
where topic is about something else.
(Sorry)

So, I can't do register anymore. It worked just a couple of days before 
and I haven't done anything
special as far as I remember. *CLI outputs:
Feb 28 22:16:55 NOTICE[53475]: chan_sip.c:4035 sip_reg_timeout:    -- 
Registration for 'xxxxxx@ipkund1.rixtelecom.se' timed out, trying again
Feb 28 22:16:55 WARNING[53475]: chan_sip.c:1398 create_addr: No such 
host: ipkund1.rixtelecom.se

over and over again. Why does it say No such host?! I can do a nslookup 
and ping the host. I have also changed the hostname
to the IP address instead but with no effect at all.
What causes this problem??

This is really killing me now. I have tested the lastest STABLE and 
CVS-HEAD but with no help but even one
more error! My sip-out doesn't show up when typing 'sip show peers' 
anymore. And a sip reload gives:

 Reloading SIP

Mar  1 21:00:33 WARNING[48593]: acl.c:223 ast_get_ip_or_srv: Unable to 
lookup ''

Mar  1 21:00:33 WARNING[48593]: chan_sip.c:1408 create_addr: No such 
host: ipkund1.rixtelecom.se

Something is really terribly wrong as Asterisk can't lookup those hosts. 
I'm almost (but not complete) certain
that this is only related to Asterisk. I'm able to do 
nslookup/dnsquery/host requests with success. I have even
tried to type this host in my /etc/hosts file but with no positive 
result at all.
I would really really appreciate if someone could help me with this 
problem so we can get to bottom with it.
