asterisk users - Feb 2005 - Streaming Phone Calls

I am looking to see if it possible to stream a phone call into
Asterisk Realtime.  I have been using the Ices plugin with Icecast and
this works fine, but I am seeing a 50 second delay for all calls.  I
am looking towards an application that would need to have a minimal
delay.
