Greetings all! astfax v1.0 has been released, and is now available at our website. You can check out the package at http://www.inter7.com/?page=astfax astfax allows you to create an email to fax gateway. It processes incoming emails with attached fax images, and sends them outbound via the txfax module. Asterisk's outgoing call queue is used to initiate the fax call and transfer. The call file generated for the outgoing call queue is in template form, and can easily be updated for any system's configuration. We currently use astfax with qmail, asterisk, spandsp, and eps to create an email/fax gateway. Ken Jones http://www.inter7.com

Looks really cool :) My company requires that for every fax we send we get a printed status report that includes the number we sent the fax to, the number the other fax reported, time+date, tx time and if the fax was sent ok or not plus (and here's the catch) a smaller image of the pages we faxed printed on the same page as the status report. Is there any chance that something like that will ever be implemented? (can it even be implemented like that??) Thanks! Not really with courier-imap since imap does not handle sending email. There is a way to get courier-imap to handle sending emails a regular smtp server should be fine. We use astfax with qmail but it should work just fine with sendmail, postfix or any other MTA that handles dot forward type files. Ken Jones
