[Asterisk-Users] Soft keys and transfer problem on Sayson 480i
I have a strange problem with my Sayson 480i IP phone. If I press the Transfer button and then dial extension 200 to try to transfer the call, the Sayson apparently is treating the 200 as the last part of an IP address, and the call fails. As soon as I enter 200 and press Dial, I see an IP address of the form x.y.z.200 show up on the display. How do I get the phone to treat the dial string as an extension to be processed by the PBX rather than an IP address? If I simply pick up the phone and dial a 3-digit extension it works, but not when I try to Transfer to a 3-digit extension. Secondly, I have no documentation at all on how to program the 6 soft keys. It's not explained in the User Manual. Anyone know how? Thanks. -Ron

The Manual should have an example of an aastra.cfg file that includes soft keys (there are actually multiple pages of soft keys that you can create).
